Spring is here, which is not least noticeable on everything that begins to sprout.
One of the many favorites among the things most people call weeds is Ground elder. The Ground elder is a medicinal plant and is said to help against gout. It holds a lot of nutrition and is now also sold in some stores which is fun. Ground elder can be used for a lot. You can use it both fresh, frozen and dried. Frozen and dried, it is best served in bread or wok. Fresh there are a lots of recipes to use this rather insignificant plant to. I myself bake, eat in salad, like spinach (stewed), in soup, pesto and much more. Recipes for pesto and much more can be found under recipes. /Good luck with the forest pantry /Åsa
